If you’ve seen the empty tomb, you’ve seen the Father.

The promise of eternal life that was displayed in the death and resurrection of Jesus.

What Is God Saying Through the Resurrection?

God is a trinity, three distinct people who are still one. This Trinity is a family. This family wanted to create man to have fellowship with man on Earth in immortal bodies. The first man only had to access this life, called eternal life, by accepting it as a free gift.

Instead of accepting it as a free gift, man sought life by his own works. This caused death to enter the world. The death told man that God abandoned him and does not give eternal life as a free gift. That is what sin is, death. The only way for man to believe in God for eternal life is if one man took on our death and still believed in God for eternal life.

Jesus took on our sin, meaning He experienced the same death we did. Through His virgin birth and the scriptures, He believed in His Father for eternal life. He died on a cross believing that He would be raised from the dead. After three days, He was resurrected. This is the ultimate proof that eternal life is a free gift.

Jesus returned to Heaven but is coming back. When He returns, all the dead will be raised and those who believe in God for eternal life will receive immortality. Those who don’t will die a second death. If you want this free gift of eternal life, just believe that Jesus was raised from the dead.

When you do, you can start experiencing eternal life in your heart. Jesus defined eternal life as intimacy with God. You can experience that as you await the resurrection of your body. Understanding this life will also produce the fruit of the spirit (love, peace, joy, gentleness, goodness, patience, kindness, meekness, and faith).
